Sexual Wellness 101
From pressure, to pleasure
Remember being in sex-ed and learning about how to put a condom on a banana, wondering if you could get pregnant in a hot tub, and seeing one hundred photos of STDs? We learned about boy’s wet dreams and watched a really scarring video of a woman giving birth.
I don’t know about you, but at my school we didn’t learn that women are capable of eleven types of orgasm, that the uterus changes shape when aroused, and that the clitoris is a vast network of nerves, expanding along the sides of the labia. No one taught us about how sexual desire changes with age, with stress, with body image, with work load, with hormonal changes, or with emotional connection (though we could have guessed that last one). We didn’t learn how important pleasure is for our health, or how hard it would be to express what we need and when.
We weren’t welcomed into womanhood with knowledge, but with the idea that our bodies are mysterious.
If you’re thinking, “Why does it matter that I know my body so intimately,” hear me out:
Women are taught from a young age that their bodies are mysterious, private, even shameful things.
We use our bodies to please others, while we judge them in private.
We are raised in ignorance, and taught that our pleasure is second fiddle, if it even matters at all.
We do “mirror checks” and body scans that may even follow us into the bedroom, robbing us of presence and of pleasure.
We may know an easy way to orgasm, but not have access to a breadth of different types of experience (all of which have different benefits).
We silence our inner voice because it’ll “ruin the mood” if we ask for what we want.
We’re shamed for being too sexual, or not sexual enough.
The more we know about our anatomy, capabilities, limiting factors, and desires that make us say fuck yes, the happier, more confident, and more embodied we’ll become.
Throughout this course, I’ll take you from body blindness into total empowerment.
From quiet and nervous to confident and communicative (whether that’s to express a boundary or a desire)
From having one type of orgasm to having curiosity and knowledge about many different kinds.
From body-checking to full presence
From pressure, to pleasure

About me
I’m Alexandra, a hormonal health and sexual wellness coach. I have a BA in integrative medicine, am a certified Ayurvedic practitioner, certified sexual wellness educator, and certified hormonal health coach.
I never intended to become a women’s health professional, but I was backed into a corner when my period cramps had more power over my life than I did.
Once I started working with 1:1 clients, I realized that there is an obscene gap in women’s sexual health knowledge. This course is a culmination of lived experience, learned knowledge, and proven results.
